Course Description
In this course, the students will be exposed to in depth factoring techniques of polynomials and extended and diverse methods that will assist in simplifying algebraic expressions. After covering the fundamentals of algebra, the students will be introduce to the list of topics covered in the course outline. As an Honors course, the expectations are much higher compared to a non Honors class, therefore, the instructor will provide the students with extra assignments that will enrich the lessons and will complement the curriculum. In addition, the students in Honors will be cover the same content as the non-Honors but the rigor and challenge will be greater. For the most part, students will be encourage to not be calculator dependent and the instructor will encourage the arithmetic procedures to be carried out mentally or by using number sense techniques.
